Baptisms at Swedenborg Chapel
The birth of a new child is such a special moment in the life of a family, and the tradition of baptism is a sacrament that honors the beginning not just of the child’s physical life, but their spiritual life as well. Baptism of course can also be experienced at any age, as we can affirm the beginning of our spiritual life at any time.
At Swedenborg Chapel we honor the sacrament of baptism as an act that welcomes a child or adult into the wider universal Christian communion, not into our particular denomination.
We also offer Naming Ceremonies or Services of Dedication for families that wish to honor the birth of their child without the sacrament of baptism.
