The Annual Wilfred Gould Rice Lecture on Psychology and Religion: "Come Hither and be Measured: On the Problematic Relation between Cognitive Psychology and Spiritual Experience" delivered by Eugene Taylor, PhD Lecturer on Psychiatry. Tuesday, June 3, 2008, 7:30pm, Free admission with refreshments and reception to follow.

"Missing Rachel" Fund Raiser CD
Originally released for Christmas and ever the timely gift is the Chapel's own a cappella Swedenborgian singing group, sales to benefit the Chapel. Check it out!

  • Sunday Worship
    11 AM to noon. All are welcome. Thoughtful Christian services in a beautiful landmark Gothic chapel - life from the Swedenborgian perspective of spiritual meaning, responsibility, and potential in all things. Children's message, readings, and sermon, plus music with professional organist and vocalist. Rev. Kevin Baxter presiding, officially installed as our eighth pastor of the chapel in October 2006! Parlor refreshments and fellowship follow, and prior at 10 AM is the adult Bible study. A time for meditation begins at 10:50 AM in the chapel.tell me more

  • Swedenborg Reading Group
    Every Thursday at 7pm in the parlor. All spiritual seekers are welcome for informal study and discussion around the profound and poetic works of the 18th century Christian mystic Emanuel Swedenborg. These evenings are a wonderful time for sharing life's thoughts with some very good people. The group has become quite popular and is preceded by a shared meal, so for full information please call (617) 864-4552 or email Rev. Kevin Baxter In summer-fall of 2007 we are reading from the timeless classic of spiritual adventure and philosophical allegory "Heaven and Hell" by Swedenborg.

  • Third Sundays "Pick-up Choir"
    Do you like to sing in church? Come join the Swedenborg Singers, a pick-up choir that sings in the 11:00 Sunday service the second-to-last Sunday in every month. Rehearsal is at 10:15 on Choir Sunday, with a read-through after service the previous week. It's joyful singing and everyone is welcome!   • Last Sundays Chapel Movie Nights
    Do you enjoy films that raise philosophical and spiritual issues? Come join us for movies and discussion, at 6pm. A new informal event that we started in September 2007, when we watched the classic afterlife comedy "Defending Your Life" by Albert Brooks. The movie nights are fun and free!

  • Soul-Stirring Mystical Art and Talent Shows
    For the sharing and celebrating of personal spiritual creativity from local artists of all religious backgrounds, the chapel is hosting interfaith festivals of spiritual art and performance. A great day for the chapel was October 8, 2006 when Rev. Kevin Baxter was installed as our new minister. We are so grateful to have Kevin for his caring, insight, and enthusiasm!
